All the talk about xG and possession made me have a poke around to see if I could find match stats rather than the oft quoted xG League table we should be right up in. So just for fun, how many PL games do you think we have

(a) exceeded our xG
(b) had more than 50% posession

a) 2 games?
b) less than half would be my guess actually, more direct play this season compared to the last one which is a normal consequence of playing two up front in most games

4? Dunk, Webster, Gross (not sure if he's started a game as captain, possibly in the cup games or just taken the armband after subs) and Stephens (in the League Cup vs Pompey)?

Correct. Also correct was Kevin Friend. We have exceeded our xG in just 10 PL games. We have had more than 50% possession in exactly half the games - 17.

The final stat was the one that was quite something. When we play Arsenal at 4pm, it will have been our 14th different KO time. Welcome to Corona football mixed with TV schedules.

(a) I'll go for two: Newcastle (a); Liverpool (a) -- also thought about Newcastle (h) and maybe Everton (a). Would be surprised if there's m/any more than those.
