I have just looked on the Everton forum and they now want Potter!

Sideways move. Why would he?

If Potter left tomorrow, highly likely we would seek to prise Russel Martin away from Swansea, but long term I think the aim is to bring coaches on in the same way we try to bring players on, ideally former players like Bruno and Crofts, I think Lallana is doing his badges too, and if Potter is here for a while, his replacement could be from within.

I agree. Lallana is probably our next manager and I think this is at least part of why he was bought to the club

His contract finishes at the end of next season and I think he'll be bought onto the coaching staff then and will be in pole position to get the job when GP leaves (which I don't think will be for a couple of years yet)

I reckon Potter will stick around for at least another couple of years, and then leave only for England or Man City (when Guardiola goes).

I know Derby hasn’t planned out for the best, but I’d still have Liam Rosenior as a name on the list of ‘one day they could manage Brighton’.
