Help, wise sages of NSC

i'm currently getting together a Gus Poyet episode

does anyone remember which other manager's were linked to the Brighton job at the time of Poyet's appointment? Just wondering if we passed over any other more experienced gaffers

Steve Coppell turned it down before Poyet accepted didn't he?

Was that the time that Jim Gannon was linked with us, or was that a different one?

I am sure we were mostly in agreement that we wanted Jim Gannon from Stockport, may have been before Salde's appointment though.

Was it before the Poyet appointment when John Gregory was being linked?! I am sure he was spotted in the stands at Wycombe away, but again, my memory is shockingly poor so that may have been a different time.

Gannon was definitely linked when Slade got it- don't know if he was linked AGAIN after Slade got sacked

Gannon turned down the job when we sacked Adams and we went on to appoint Slade. Don’t think he was anywhere near the running when we appointed Poyet.

Ince was second choice after Gannon but also turned down the job.
