"MyAlbion TV will be showing tonight's Under-17s Premier League Cup match between Albion and Leicester City live.

The match is taking place at the Amex, kick off 6pm.

Having won all three of their group stage matches against Millwall, West Ham and Crystal Palace, Albion cruised through the quarter-final stage with a thumping 6-1 victory over Southampton.

An astonishing seven consecutive wins in the league was brought to an end by Norwich City ten days ago, but Albion head into tonight’s game after getting back to winning ways with a 5-2 win over Reading on Saturday in Premier League South action."

I realise it's cut and paste from the website but it's under 18s, isn't it? Or are cup matches different from league ones?

Its u17s, they changed it from the u18 cup this season. I'm guessing to make it noticeably different from the FA youth cup (though that does involve a lot more teams).

Of the starters, goalkeeper Toby Bull and centre-back Odel Offiah are over-age players (U-18s). Evan Ferguson is an U-16 schoolboy.

On the bench, goalkeeper Hugo Fisher and Jack Hinshelwood are U-16 schoolboys. Cam Peupion and Matt Everitt are U-18s.

This deserves re-iterating - I am critical of some of the club's coverage of the U-18s, but hosting this match at the Amex (and providing the live stream with commentary) is excellent.
