I would second all the tributes paid here. That sound was unique, powerful like Phi Spector but with a raw edge that was truly Rock. The songs were like nobody else’s. Meat Loaf performed them brilliantly, but today at least , Steinman is getting the credit.....when it is too late for him to see it .
