I can't help thinking that he sounds a bit of a cock to be honest.

Lamptey pushed for his move, because he was 19 years old, and at a club that had Azpilcueta playing every game, and with Reece James ahead of him (and also only 19). He was ready for first team football and could see no obvious pathway. I completely get the timing of his wish to leave.

This lad has just turned 16, FFS. If he is as good as he thinks he is, he'll be first choice by the time he's 18. Sign the deal at the club that gave you your chance in the game, then ask for a couple of 6 month loan spells, moving up the leagues if you're ready.
