If the judge had given her a longer sentence she may have played the racist card, so judge went soft on her to avoid any further BLM tension .... maybe?

Complete bullshit!, and you probably know it.

Have a look around at sentences for causing death by dangerous driving. The results will shock you. As will all other driving related sentencing.

It's a car culture dictating these sentences. Not race.

It's you that's playing the race card here.

Hard to argue that isn't a possibility. Only a possibility though - no more than that.

Hard to argue against for a closet racist who's done fvck all research into the facts, yes.

Fair enough if that is the case.

Was that for death by dangerous driving or death by careless driving? Agree both are serious, because someone has ended up being dead, but careless driving could just be a momentary error or loss of concentration; still an offence, worthy of punishment, but dangerous driving is a different thing altogether.

And you will find that is very much more the norm rather than the exception, regardless of the race or gender of the defendant.

It's a car culture led sentencing policy. It really is sadly as simple as that.

In 2017 ministers promised, following wide ranging consultation, that they would be increasing the maximum sentence for death by dangerous driving from 14 years to life.

It's now 2021. Guess what the maximum sentence for causing death by dangerous driving is today?

Is it ****. Race has **** all to do with this, it’s more of a case that courts appear loathed to push for maximum sentences.

With good behaviour she’ll be out in 18 months.

A pathetically short sentence, I thought causing death by dangerous driving now yielded a long sentence? This was also a hit’n’run. Wiping out the poor kid’s life, his family will never recover.

On the plus side, that’s only 18 months for the family to wait for appropriate revenge.

To me, it’s not just maximums, as they’re rarely given anyway.

1. The base sentence for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving needs to be significant.

2. Judges, or the sentencing guidelines, should give less scope for hugely reducing sentences through a whole host of mitigations just now.

The lives of victims lost forever to disgraceful driving, mean more imho than 18 months inside.
