Not familiar with our U18s but Villa seem to deserve to be ahead. Some, to be expected, naïve decision making. Still, leagues more important.

A very well created second goal for Villa beautifully finished by Ramsey and then another to make it three a few minutes later.
3-0 to Villa seems about right, as they have dominated throughout.
Villa seem to look physically stronger and more mature than the Brighton lads.
Brighton's Offiah, Moran and Ferguson have stood out for me.

Completely outclassed tonight, in all honesty. Well played Villa. If they continue to play like that they could pick up some silverware this season.

The majority of the players they used tonight seems to be players that usually play in their U23 team, should be a bit easier in the league.

Yup, I would expect Villa to have a near completely different team when we play them next (literally the next game April 3rd), should be much closer. In all fairness to them, its not like we decided to not use players from the u23s as there were only 3 we could use (Tsoungui, Turns & Ferguson). Villa have a lot of u18s playing u23s already so bodes really well for them.

Villa recruited at youth level very aggressively ahead of the changes that have been implemented because of Brexit - No U18 signings, partner clubs and fast thinking: English football post-Brexit

You don't know a lot about academy football, do you?
Many of Villa's exceptional U-18 squad this season spent much of the campaign playing for their U-23 side. Those who were age-eligible for the U-18s were parachuted back in for the FA Youth Cup matches.
Of the 10 outfield players that started for Villa in the 4th round FAYC tie against Albion, only TWO played in the league match-up between the sides 10 days later. Albion's U-18 squad this season was very heavily-weighted towards the U-17s; we had 9 common starters between the two games.
The positive side of that coin was our U-17s winning the first-ever U-17 Premier League Cup (I'm sure you remember your Eagles being beaten by Albion, 4-2, in the group stages?).
I'm very much looking forward to how our U-18s perform in the FA Youth Cup NEXT season.
