We only had a brief flirtation with him at the end of his career, but his goal against Wimbledon at the Goldstone in late 1984 will live with me forever.

RIP Frank, you truly were a legend.

I was about 9 when he played for us so some of my first football memories involve him. Probably the first big name player winding down his career that I remember us signing but was still class. How did he manage to play for another 13 teams after us?

RIP Frank.

Sad news, it was a pleasure to watch him play for us. As well as his immense skill he also wore possibly the tightest shorts I have ever seen on a football pitch.

RIP

Love to see the ref running back applauding that special goal.

A great, maverick player, when we also enjoyed Bowles, Currie and Hudson too.

Seemed to have a full life.

RIP.

Luck enough to see him play for us, bit of a folk hero to us, a mate of mine’s dad was a cabby and picked him up at that nightclub on the A23 at 6am on a Saturday match day, he asked to be dropped straight to Newtown Road and was in quite a state too, he played that afternoon!
