Admittedly tend to lose all interest in the thing as soon as we get knocked out, but how the actual F did it ever come to this?

Much rather see a total under dog in the quarter finals than another one of the big boys. However this is real nose bleed territory for them, they won't be going to Wemberlee.

The answer may be that they played Bristol Rovers in the third round, Plymouth in the fourth round, and Bristol City in the fifth round.

You have to say, they’d be Champions if the league only consisted of West Country clubs and them, although Exeter might have something to say about that.

It's not that surprising is it? With the top clubs often leaving some of their bigger names on the bench or rested for earlier rounds of the cup we often see a couple of shocks that lead to a struggling top flight side or someone from outside the top division getting to the QF stages. Either that or big name sides get drawn against each other which opens up the way for a team who get a favourable draw against lower league sides most of the way through (see Sheff Utd this season or our cup semi final run in 18-19).

In the last few years we've had Norwich make the QFs last season, Millwall also made the QFs two seasons ago. Wigan from the 3rd tier and Swansea the season before both got the QFs. Non league Lincoln, eventually relegated Middlesbrough and Millwall who were in League One at the time made it in 16-17.
