What a pair of fixtures though!

The pressure on both us and Newcastle will be huge if Fulham do win tonight...

If Fulham win tonight we may not overtake them until our game in hand vs Sheff Utd.

Come on Leeds !

Tbh it is still all about us. If we meet a target of beating Newcastle, Sheffield Utd and Leeds then happy days.

For TV viewers, your Saturday looks like this-
12:15 B'muf v Saints FA Cup BT
12:30 Brentford v Chris Hughtons Forest EFL Sky
13:00 India v England 5th T20 Sky
Two EFL matches if interested.
17:30 Everton v Man City FA Cup BT
20:00 BHA v Newcastle EPL Sky

My thoughts on tonight. If Fulham win that would put Newcastle in the bottom three. That in turn would put more pressure on Newcastle to win, and we like teams that attack us. On the other hand, Fulham loss or draw and Newcastle will come for a draw, and then sneak a win in the 95th minute.

We have Leeds at home soon, will be an interesting comparison. How did Fulham get on at Elland Road?

Big weekend... I read this on the Guardian website earlier about our game.

"Neutrals should want Brighton to annihilate Newcastle on Saturday simply because they are more fun. Mike Ashley’s cynical ‘it’s the taking part that counts’ Premier League strategy wore thin a long time ago, whereas Brighton at least try to put on a show even if they can’t seem to shake off a certain haplessness. They are on to a good thing with Graham Potter and, with a couple of additions, most obviously a reliable striker, should develop into an entertaining top-flight force if they avoid relegation. Newcastle have been reduced to mere irritants and are seldom worth watching. That said, Saturday’s showdown shouldn’t be missed, especially if Fulham crank up the pressure on both teams by beating Leeds on Friday. There will be tension, passion and almost certainly some slapstick blunders."

Even as a biased fan, I tend to agree. As a choice between us, Newcastle or Fulham going down it would be Newcastle every single time.
