That and scooby doo.....the start of shit cartoons. I hated it's repetition and futility. It was like a cartoon waiting for Godot.

Two separate questions, Shirley?
Thread title says “Favourite Car/Characters” - for that I’d answer Dick Dastardly and Mutley in the Mean Machine.
But the poll says “Who Do You Want To Win” - for that I’d answer Prof Pat Pending in the Ring-a-Ding Convert-a-Car (I also like the Slag Bros, Penelope Pitstop, and the Arkansas Chugger Bug.)
And to get in early for the next poll, I always supported the Scooby-Doobies over the Yogi Yahooeys and Really Rottens in the Laff-A-Lympics.
(This is what 12 months of lockdown has reduced me to!!!

The show was clearly not giving its audience what it really wanted. While Dick Dastardly and Muttley are steaming ahead by a mile in the poll race they never actually won any of the Wacky Races, in fact they never even came top three...

They were in the top three more than any of the other contestants, but only equal fifth in terms of actual wins. (See chart above).
