testing taking place this weekend in Bahrain,the only test before we go racing in two weeks time

early observations

Alpine & McLaren looking good

Red Bull also

Aston Martin & Ferrari not so much

Mercedes look like they have a few problems with rear end grip apparently
yesterday was basically lost to a sandstorm and this morning LH spun off into the gravel losing time on track

Williams look like they could give the Alfas a run for their money this season

Haas look like the might be on the back row

I know it's only testing but just the one test this season, so car improvements will probably occur more so as the season goes on

this afternoon's testing currently on right now,final day tomorrow

The best way for this season to pan out is for Red Bull to start slightly stronger than the Mercedes because it's likely that car will improve faster and to a higher ceiling than the Red Bull car will during the full season, so if Max leads at the turn but Lewis is starting to close the gap (no offence to Perez and Bottas but let's be realistic here) it could be an absolute corker of a season.

Yeh.

70% chance that Mercedes were massively sandbagging in testing and we'll all know Hamilton has won the title after qualifying in the first race

30% chance that Mercedes will actually start off 2nd fastest, but as you say, even then will probably reel it back for the second half of the season.
