1. Hugging friends and family without feeling self-conscious and making risk assessments about safety and distancing - stress-free socialising.
2. A packed Amex in full voice.
3. The feeling of spontaneity re: freedom of movement returning - fancy pub tonight? Or a movie? Without having to think through a load of logistics.
4. A Summer music festival/live gig - might have to wait a while, but will be fantastic and a real moment of "we're back" for me.
5. Not endlessly consuming news articles/data relating to the Coronavirus situation, and whether it's improving/getting worse etc.

I've probably missed some really obvious ones, but how about for you?

Let's try not to go into a binfest here, plenty of other threads for that - I recognise people have different views as to when we will be able to safely do each of these things, I'm simply asking which things you are most looking forward to being able to experience again, whether in 2 months or 2 years' time.

1. Hugging friends and family
2. Ultra walking challenges
3. Live Music
4. Live football
5. Meals out

It is strange though. Pre pandemic I would have put football far higher. It really isn't the thing I've missed most.

Do you think that could change when you actually get back there?

It could do. It feels like it was so long ago and I certainly don't enjoy it as much watching on TV. I guess the season itself doesn't help but right now improving mental well-being is a priority once we get to that point

Playing in my darts league again. Not the same against the computer or online cheats averaging way less than me then suddenly hitting a 100+ finish each time without their camera on.

I try not to think about it has the thought that I could have 10x more fun and be 10x more happy isnt doing me any good. For time being I will pretend that life was always dull and depressing.

Seeing our no 2 son in Western Australia.
Congratulating our no 3 son for his First Class Honours degree at UoB.
Attending our no 1 son’s wedding.
Going to village pub, and laughing endlessly with so many fun people.
Watching us score in front of the north stand.

Not feeling guilty when standing and chatting to a friend in the street.
Having a cup of tea with said friend.

Burning my mask and not having to take my tape measure with me when I go out.
Seriously though, I want spontaneity back in life and the freedom to do all the things we used to take for granted.

Fed up with trains. Sick of the rain.
1. Meeting friends in the pub without having to plan dates/times/numbers like a military operation.

2. Eating out, as above.

3. Going to Football, Cricket, Rugby, pub first and afterwards without having to fill in forms.
.
4. Not wearing masks and an end to anti social distancing.

5. The public inquiry into how this was handled and not having the news full of howling jeremaiads from the likes of Neil Ferguson and Chris Hopson.

Oddly enough - car-sharing.

I'm getting fed up of driving in separate cars from our depot to outdoor worksites up to 45 minutes away. The other day four of us went, all in separate vehicles. A real loss of team and social cohesion.

1) Working one day a week down in Sussex like before at my mums, seen her twice in a year.
2) Having a glass of wine outside, somewhere like Seville, late at night when it's still stupidly hot.
3) Having a naughty beer far too early in a pub on the way home after shopping outside my favourite pub near Clapham Junction watching the planes descend into Heathrow.
4) Coffee outside anywhere.
5) Football.

Work? I don't intend to go back into the office if ever I have to.
