A year confined inside his house.

I know the feeling...

Oh no! Whatever will he do...?

Does anyone think our politician's would even get that far? One rule for normal people another for the great and the not so good. The justice system of this and most other countries is anything but...

These three are minor casualties, lying and perjury and a little bit of obstruction of justice is not a thing to be worried about. The real political criminals rarely get caught and nailed. Johnson's back catalogue of unpunished crimes will never see the light of day.

Yes Huhne is easy, not the establishment and the press were on to him. The other two are more interesting both were very close to power at one point so did they offend someone further up the greasy pole? Guess we'll never know. Prison sentences were also pretty light.

Good points though they did all go to jail even if its was in more honest times.

Sarkozy and his legal team were caught on tape trying to bribe a magistrate, in return for information on a case.

Pure criminality.

Sounds a bit like what happened with the Georgia state election guy. So, for Trump, it's a year holed up in his Florida home then?

Unfortunately , such is the nature of politcal people.

While looking to see how many politicians had been to sent prison etc in the UK, statistics showed that percentage of politicians compared to the number of the general public, was significantly higher. It's inevitable that many of those climbing the so called "greasy pole" will be corrupt. The ones who get caught of course, will be the ones who aren't very bright. Probably a natural way of eliminating the idiots.

Let's face it....who wants an idiot leading the country....?

Oh........

If short pants gets two years bird, imagine what a former leader would get for starting an illegal war, has 100s of thousands deaths on their conscience and has totally destabilised the Middle East?
