Had breakfast with Kevin Roland the day after the general election, he really is the man. Also met Tony Benn and Michael Moore and sold a couple of T-shirts to Nigel Kennedy outside the Goldstone. It really has been a non stop roller coaster of a life hob knobbing with celebs!

I met Bernard Jewry and had a chat with him whilst he waited for some number plates in Halfords Rustington.
I just don't know how anyone can possibly top this.

Ha! I met Fred Dinenage in Burgess Hill.

I was working on a site in Horsham a couple of years ago when I got a call to say I had to go to a premier league footballers house, An AV company we worked for were there and needed an aerial and Sky feed for the TV/AV system they were installing.
Imagine my delight when the owner of the Cobham mansion was none other than Connor 'Palace' Wickham.

Hmm...contentious. I'd have Sweep just out of the medal places in favour of Spit The Dog. Sounds like we need a POLL

Have played Pool with Bob Carolgees but Spit was not present, same Social Club where I played squash with (well OK got hammered by) Steve Coppell.

As you can see I am well in with the in crowd...

Brief chats with Nigel Mansell & Ian Botham (two of my heroes, that will do for me)

Was on the same plane as Robert Plant once, but never said anything (didn't want to disturb him, regretted ever since)

Shook hands with Linda Lusardi back in her pomp (never seen another woman like her since, stunning)

Quite a few other racing drivers,Hill,Herbert,Alesi & Mario Andretti (very small man,but a giant of a driver)

I’ve spotted quite a few on planes:
Arctic Monkeys minus Alex but plus their extra live guitarist and manager. Chatted with these guys quite a bit.
Morrissey
Paul Cook and Glenn Matlock
Hot Chip
Alexis Taylor
The Kooks
Laurie Vincent
Andrew Weatherall
Dame Shirley Williams
and best of all Pascal Gross the morning after we lost 3-1, I think, to Burnley. He literally sat in the seat next to me, we chatted a lot and he even helped me with some German homework I had......and I embarrassingly got a selfie as well.

Shook hands with Prince Harry at Exeter Chiefs ground and he apologized for bring late.

Met Ray Winstone at an Albion friendly at Worthing years ago.

Met loads of players , Norman Cook, David Platt, Des Lynam etc when we played at Withdean when Charlie gave us tickets to the Bar afterwards.

Sat next to Derek Redmond on a flight back from Barbados, really nice bloke and had a great laugh with him.

Got pissed with Wilf McGuiness on a cruise ship.

Robert Plant drank in my village pub when he came down to attend a funeral

Josh Buttler drinks in my local all the time .

I saw 2 people in exactly the location you would want or expect them to be.
I was walking down a street in Mayfair and I looked through the window of a small independant very English tailor shop, who was in there getting kitted out, Alan Whicker.
I visited a friend and his family for a day who were on holiday at a holiday camp.
Early evening we went to the bar and who was in there ( looking very unwell) Paul Shane.
Oh yes and a worst for wear George Melly in The Pillars Of Hercules in Greek Street, Soho.

I met the late Peaches Geldof at a party in my youth. I also met the Queen when was 10. That’s about the closest to the elite as I’ve gotten.

My brother for a job that was essentially as a doorman for the VIP bar at a festival.
Peaches went to swan in and he stopped her. "Sorry over 18s only" he says.
Peaches responds with the classic "do you know who I am?"
"Yes Miss Geldoff I do know who you are. I also know it was your 17th birthday recently , so you can't come in"

Literally was knocked over by Harrison Ford, who kindly picked me up, whilst he and his entourage were being escorted to their prime seats at a Michael Jackson gig.

Sat next to John Tarode on a flight to Glasgow, quite a miserable soul barking orders to his PA and he emphatically refused the BA cooked breakfast.

I had a wee in the urinal next door to Bobby Davro at a motorway service station in 1989 (I was 10).

I got pissed with Peter “monkey’s heed” Reid in about 2005. Around about the same time (different night though!), a mate and I managed to wheedle our way into a VIP section of the Jewel Bar, Piccadilly and got pissed with Daisy Lowe.

I sat next to Professor Brian Cox on a plane to Marrakesh in 2015.

This is probably my favourite.
Many years ago I was totally pissed of with the Coppell to Reading saga.
So I jumped into my car a drove from Ascot to The Madjetski (sp) stadium and went into the hotel.
After 10 minutes of hanging around some players and the Madjetski came in to the bar and sat at a table, with a small entourage.
Taking a deep breathe I walked over, sat down and said "what's happening with Steve Coppell"
Madjetski looked shocked, but fair play to him he said that we want him but we are in negociations at the moment.
Ah, OK I said and he replied with how long have you been a Reading fan.
I'm not, I said, I'm a life long Brighton fan and I think you should look for someone else.
Got up and walked out.
Stupid, childish etc etc but I felt a lot better.

I'm as jealous as hell, Pascal is my fave current Albion player, would have paid you serious money to swap places.

Talking about planes, l once flew up to Manchester to watch Albion in a cup tie at Old Trafford, and Mel Smith was sitting a couple of rows ahead of me on the flight north. He really was a larger than life character, from what l could see he was drinking his way through the bar.

Got to have a few words with him as we were getting off the plane, when he heard that we had gone up to watch football, he said l'll buy you lads a drink on the flight home.

Alas big Mel wasn't on board on the way back!

You spotted Arctic Monkeys extra live guitarist? AND their manager? Well that's it then. Game over! Thread CLOSED! :moo:
