[Football] Thoughts on the ref today?

I thought he was appalling, some of the Burnley elbows were yellow maybe even red card challenges. Gave nearly all the 50/50s to the thugs too

Glad to get away with a point

Completely agree let them get away with so much! Thought Burnley were actually quite good today though. Happy with the point also.

Wasn't a great game but the ref ruined any flow there was. Seemed just to randomly give the 50/50s whatever way he felt like, and gave our forwards nothing all game.

Usually i avoid any ref bashing but the guy was weak. And where the hell is VAR for violent play?!

Fine. Didn't notice him that much. So I guess he did okay.

In fairness we were slow and tired today, can’t blame the ref? Good point well earned.

Not impressed but not the worst ref performance I've seen either. Gave free-kicks for things that were nothing and then ignored things that were quite blatantly free kicks. No hideous mistakes though.

Did you notice Macaliister being battered almost to the point of concussion due to elbows directly to his face/head? Three times!
All ignored by the ref.

Appalling.

One of the first priorities of a ref is player welfare.

- Mee dangerous lunge
- gundarason?sp - dangerous
- Cork - led with elbow
- Barnes persistent foul play, but late on Sanchez.

Obviously, understand the yellows, but benefit of the doubt x4.

Cork should have been referred.....

Basically, a dirty, nasty team and the ref allowed it.

Gave us nothing and then everything - should have given at least one red card to them. Very poor indeed

So, I need to get this right. Were all the wrong decisions against us then ?

Thought he was quite good

Replays showed no intent with challenges on MacAllister - just Burnley

Efforts of Anfield showed in second half - good point gained.
