Burnley coming up. Have we ever won 3 away games in a row in top division

More to the point, if we do we win at Burnley we will have won 5 times as many away games as home games, I sincerely doubt that has ever happened before

Is it still the case that there have been more away wins than home wins in the Premier League this season?

Looks like 87-79 to away wins.

For what?

No idea but if we can still be blaming Maggie Thatcher 30 years on, it doesn’t take a massive leap to blame Stephens a few months on

Amazing statistic and I wonder the extent to which it is due to empty stadia...

Yes

79-80 3 away wins
80-81 4 away wins
81-82 5 away wins
82-83 1 away win

17-18 2 away wins
18-19 3 away wins
19-20 4 away wins
20-21 4 away wins

81-82 is currently our best season for away wins but there were 22 teams in the top flight back then so two extra away games to play.

Home wins are harder to come by for teams with supportive noisy home fans, such as Brighton, Liverpool etc. Whilst teams like West Ham, whose fans just make an abusive mass cacophony, now blossom at home. For Arsenal it always felt like an empty stadium.
