Ultimately pretty meaningless but it does show where we would be if we could convert possession to goals.

MAnure, Tottingham and Toffees show its bollocks in the grand scheme of things.

score more goals than you concede, win games, earn points, that is all that matters.

"Table of dominance" is a cracking name for a band

Southampton .... +13 points ... because they can finish.

We could be right up there, with more ruthlessness in both boxes

It explains why the striker is the holy grail for us
Agreed.

Swap out any of our strikers for Ings and we’d be up with Southampton.

You can see the difference between Welbeck in on goal and Maupay. Welbeck just looks like he can score, got that confidence that he'll score. Even if he's going thru a barren spell, he knows he'll score. Maupay 'looks' nervous.

Just my observation looking at them play.

Not saying Welbs is the answer as he's too injury prone. But it's the mindset.

Not got a great scoring record Wellbeck though has he? 46 goals in 223 appearances.

He took the one against Villa well .... he blatantly isn't our Danny Ings though

being a goal scorer is a very selfish job, you need to be the centre off attention and focus for all your players. We haven't had that since we lost Murray, arguably 2 years ago now. All the players we have now are tippy tappy, after you old bean . . . or just not good enough to break through defences. I'm not sure Potter wants a striker like that, but equally, we're not good enough to pass it in twice a week, as we can clearly see.

It really underlines the stupidity of not getting a reliable goalscorer.
