I shall open this up with the utterly brilliant new Bicep album - Isles.

Here’s a review:

I don’t know what it is but I really struggle with a lot of Biceps stuff and didn’t really like them Live. Just too floaty for me. Saw them DJ In Antwerp early last year though and that’s where they really show how it’s done and their musical talent effortlessly mixing between tech, disco and 80s stuff.

The New Shame Album Drunk Tank Pink is really superb, has taken there sound to a new level. Couple of track ‘born in Luton’ and ‘Snow Day’ really are brilliant.

Fair enough. As musicians they are different to their DJ act. I’ve only ever seen them once either as DJs or live musicians, this was Sunday at 7pm in Berghain. They were due to play a “summer set” in the garden but due to the weather they switched inside to The Panorama Bar. They decided to stick with the set and played it inside in the dark which was quite fun and whilst possibly risky, given the nature of the Panorama at that day and time, it worked.

I’ve been listening to Welfare Jazz by Swedish punk/post-punk band Viagra Boys. If you can get past their truly awful name they are well worth a listen. New album is really great.

New Michael Schenker album ‘Immortal’ has some great names on it, and some great tracks.

Waiting for the New Ricky Warwick LP ‘When Life was Hard and Fast’, the couple of ‘singles’ from it are mighty promising.

Fantastic band saw them live supporting the strokes in 2019 and they were fantastic (considering the strokes were a bit sh*t) change of sound on the new album but never the less a great release.

I’m new to them, was reading about them on the Rough Trade website, liked what I saw and gave it a listen a few days ago....they’re great for a number of reasons. I’ll move onto their first album this weekend.
