Just left his job in China.

Would you want him here if Potter ended up getting the sack?

Sadly I reckon he’s more likely to go back to Newcastle.

Benitez has just been tipped off that Klopp is on his way out.

I think we’ll stick with Potter for the foreseeable.

Benitez doesn’t fit the mould of managers we tend to go for. Plus he was being paid £12m a year after tax in China. Can’t see us paying anywhere near that and he’ll have offers from far bigger clubs in next few months. Possibly chance to manage a country after Euro’s and the England job will likely be available...

There have been times when I would have welcomed him as our manager - if it had been a choice between him and Hyypia, for example, or him and Hughton I'd have been quite happy if he'd got the job (I'm not saying that would have been the right or a better choice, just one that I'd have accepted quite happily at the time). If at some time in the future we were looking for as new manager and he was an option, yes, maybe (but not for £12 f***in' million a year!)

But at the moment? No.

There was a time when many of us thought the same about Hughton!

Difference being, Potter has bought into the long term strategy of developing young talent from the academy through to the first team, which is essential considering the amount of money TB has invested.
