I thought he was a social democrat. We hade the social democrats rule Sweden for 70+ years and they certainly werent communists and went pretty far to stop communism in Sweden... but I guess in the US, anyone left of Nixon is a communist.

Not as severe but its similar in the uk. Centrist policies for most of the world are considered left wing over here.

Would have loved to seen him as President, but that was never going to happen. America's idea of Socialism and the rest of the world's are two completely different things. Representing Vermont probably didn't help as a lot of Americans wouldn't even know where that was

Bernie is Brilliant - One of the " Good Guys "

However what I've never understood is and about US Politics. Why he runs for his Senate Seat as an " Independent " but runs for Presidential Electee's under the Banner of the Democrats.

Never really been interested too much on US Politics but I sort of got hooked up in this Election due to my desire to see the back of Trump
