I think it’s just about getting him off the salary structure to be honest. I’m guessing at around £2m with a modest sell on clause.

I'd actually like to see Tony and the club make some money on these deals.

Anytime there's no price mentioned it feels like we're taking another loss on a deal.

Good - good luck to him, and one more off the paty-roll.

Perhaps as far as LB is concerned, GP intends to play 3 at hte back this season, in which case we are OK with March and BDB as our LWB options. Neither of them are up to it as straightforward LBs in my opinion though. Maybe operate as we are this season, and hope after a year at Hearts young Cochrane is ready for the role. Plus, we still haven't seen Karbownik - he is right footed, but has occasionally apparantly played LB, so maube he'll be part of thhe answer?

Still far more questions than answers l think, and we managed to play four across the back last season without Bernado's involvement, so no reason why we can't do that again when and if necessary.

He was signed for Hughton football and generally looked good in Hughton teams, less so for GP. I share your feelings but hope we have a sell on fee that could potentially recoup some of the initial outlay.

I honestly don't think that was ever going to happen, just getting the player off the wage bill had become just about the only option?

Whilst l agree that he was better suited to Chris Hughton's style of defensive football, l still thought he was no better than adequate, indeed he had to fight Gaetan Bong just to get into the side on many occasions

Seems a very common option for us though.

Even if he only went for 2 million just put that out there. We get it's taking a wage off a budget but still be nice to know what the club got back in return.

All our deals are officially undisclosed. It doesn't mean we have or have not made a profit*

If you want to know what someone thinks they were worth, that's on Spotrac https://www.spotrac.com/epl/transactions/brighton-hove-albion/ though Jolly Red Giant is about the only person I know who believes this is gospel to the penny.

* we probably have made a loss on Bernardo - that's what happens when you never play and are second or third fiddle to a giant centre back when you're the specialist. Probably not the deal to pick to make a point.

As Simon Jordan is always saying, it’s the wages that drain football clubs. The £9m fee will have been amortised over the 3 or 4 years he’s been with the club. The Ben White/Bob Sanchez academy type deals (if/when they happen) will make the club big capital gains.

We're on the verge of making £100m+ on sales on White and Bissouma. On balance I think we will be fine for TBs bank account and we really need the dead wood out the squad so best thing for likes of Locadia, Bernardo, AJ etc is to give away for anything we can get and get wages off the sheet.

On the verge of making £100m on White and Bissouma are we? Oh yes l'm just watching all the offers flooding in. With very few exceptions clubs won't b e willing to spend that sort of money in this Covid hit term of uncertainty.

In my opinion both players will still be with us come the end of August.

Yep. If Sky's Transfer Updates and The Athletic's experts can only report on completed Frees and Loans mostly from clubs outside the PL - then their world really does stop turning. United have been after Sancho for 15 months and it's only the pandemic and the ESL shambles that has got Dortmund and United together. United, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool to a lesser extent really have had to go on a post-ESL "Intention" PR binfest to keep the locals placated. City and Chelsea are only really constrained by FFP. You can put Everton in that boat too after Ancelotti poured ice water on Moshiri's project.

There's plenty of smoke that suggests White is going to leave for north of £50m. Whether or not it actually happens remains to be seen, but the rumours are thick at the moment.

From what I've seen, everything with Biss has gone quiet. No idea what that means. Hopefully it means he's staying.

When things go quiet at the Albion - that's worrying. Loads of NOISE, ill-informed conjecture and big-club bollox/desperation is much more comforting.
