Paris agrees to turn Champs-Élysées into 'extraordinary garden'

The committee held a public consultation over what should be done with the avenue. The plans include reducing space for vehicles by half, turning roads into pedestrian and green areas, and creating tunnels of trees to improve air quality

I wasn't so boring and you weren't quite so mean spirited last summer when you spent a week on Geeks asking for our advise which saved you a considerable amount of money.

Indeed, however, why not just add this to that cycling related thread as opposed to starting another pointing out your grievances against cycling?

Because a message of 'too many cars, we need more trees' isn't exactly news in our teeny tiny corner of t'internet.

But a message of 'the Champs Elysées can be dramatically changed for the better - why can't (oh I don't know) Brighton' ought to be put out there.

As it happens both stories were in the same news feed, so as to save 'space' and for a little light relief I thought I'd combine the two stories into a handy quiz.

Have to say I do have a little sympathy with the OP.....despite the fact that I was looking for some dynamic local news after looking at the thread title....from my experience the lane is little used ...though this might have been down to part of the lane being dug up due to gas mains work rendering them useable: moo:

I’d like them there for six months of the year ...covering Spring and Summer when they would get more use
