Hmmmm seems too good to be true

Haven’t we been here before with various others who end up signing for someone else.....

Moises Caicedo?

This fella is not happy about it! 02:30 -

That guy is a bit of a tool, another plastic Mancunian.

But the Man Utd fans are really pissed off about not sealing this deal which is kind of fun!

This player does seem to be very highly rated by lots of people (from other clubs). What is this based on though? He’s not in a competitive league. Ok he scored a goal for Equador... Tim Vickery seems to be the best source, but he also rated MacAllister highly.

Yes. But his inclination and strength is to move forward not to stay deep.
Not saying he can’t do it but playing full time DM requires a particular discipline.
If he is a box to box midfielder he will not need to stay deep, he should be getting forward. Him and Biss could be immense, it might not work out that way but I'm willing to give it a try. [emoji3]

Well firstly sounds like a coup for the club as we’ve beaten a number of others, clearly an exciting talent with potential (Tim Vickery confirms), fantastic price and a good asset with a big upside. So kudos to the recruitment team for all that [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

That said. I will reserve judgement. MacAllister had more fanfare and more legit first team experience at a big club and he’s not nailed down many PL starts yet.

Your first paragraph infers that we have already signed this guy. What is your source?

Tim Vickery had his reservations about the impact that MacAllister would make in the PL at this stage of his career.

Exciting if true. So, with the return of the loanees we've effectively signed a new midfield, and they're all here to contribute to the first team. Alzate shot? Biss off?

What I like about Tim is that he holds his hands up if he gets one wrong, I’m pretty sure it was Falcao who he didn’t think would do well in Europe.

Yep, he also didn't think Coutinho (one of his great pronunciations by the way) would be any good in England.

But, Vickery is generally brilliant and his knowledge of South American football is incredible and he doesn't get many wrong. Also a very intelligent and funny bloke. Have you seen his modelling by the way?! Bit of a mod and likes his clothes. Cool guy.

He is genuinely excited about this kid so if this rumour is true, we definitely should be.

Agree completely and it takes a long time to get that completely right, but we haven't done a bad job in teaching Biss that particular discipline.

And he still gets it wrong occasionally, but he's not doing badly at all, is he
