Well, I didn’t think I would be posting this at half time:
1. Tremendous fighting spirit that shows the players are willing to fight for the manager. No way he has ‘lost the dressing room’.
2. A really good performance from Maupay, I have been very critical but two in his last two starts is key for a player who is clearly a confidence player.
3. A goal for Connolly. When back from injury he will have his confidence boosted.
4. A big one for me is another goal from a set piece. It will give really belief to our team in an area we have been lacking.
5. Lallana fit again, rest him in FA Cup and City and unleash him on Leeds and then Lamptey and Webeck to come back as well would see us really improved.
6. Two assists for Trossard hopefully gives him a lift.
7. Another point back against the tracker so only one behind where we thought we should be.
