Those of a certain age will recall this person. George Blake, the notorious double agent traitor from the cold war era who fled Britain after being sprung from jail and fleeing to Moscow has died aged 98. One of those people I thought had died years ago tbh. Blake ended up working for the KGB and never expressed regret for his actions. In todays Britain, Blake would probably have been elevated to the House of Lords.

Their crimes were even more heinous when you think that from their positions in the MI5 they would have been fully aware of the millions murdered by Stalin and the oppression handed out by subsequent Soviet leaders. Good riddance.

The word traitor is bandied around inaccurately sometimes .... but this bloke was a traitor. The very definition of one.
