Don’t really pay much attention to the charts these days, but always like to see what’s at number 1 at Christmas.

Lad Baby does it again, third year in a row, I believe equally the spice girls and the Beatles.

Also noticed the top 10 is full of old Christmas songs - however the new entry at number 5 doesn’t seem very festive

Yes! Really devalued since the days of Rolf Harris, Benny Hill, St Winifred's School Choir, Mr Blobby, Bob the Builder and, in more recent years, all the X Factor winners.

Ladbaby have raised millions for the Trussell Trust and foodbanks with no profit and all funds going to the charity. It is the biggest selling single for 3 years. Good on them, the version is comic gold and they seem a lovely family

There are always small chinks of light.

The ****s are at number 5 in the charts and Pouges and Kirsty at no 6.

In the album charts Paul McCartney gets another solo Number 1, with what is a very good album, recommenced Deep Deep Feeling, Sieze the Day, Deep Down (very Prince) and Lavatory Lil inspired by John's Polythene Pam.
