How does it work for these matches if you are lucky enough to get tickets. If you have a season ticket, yet you are being asked to pay. Would the existing kitty funds not cover it?

If you get a ticket via the original ballot windows the price of the ticket is taken against your season ticket credit. If you pick one up from the ticket exchange you will have to pay by credit or debit card. The cost is the same as the pro rata season ticket price until 4 days before kick off, tickets will then be charged at full match day prices.
