Absolutely. ANY other party would have prevented Coronavirus, or maybe banned it.

Hospitals are full again, the billion pound Elizabeth hospitals are empty, the track and trace system is not world beating, people are ignoring all advise.
If you live in the SE you have it bad.

It's literally following the same curve as the cases but a couple of weeks behind, just in the slight dip now

Isnt that the whole of the UK, when the discussion is around the south east specifically? You can always find data to prove your point if you look hard enough

I do have some sympathy with the Government although I totally agree they have been awful in the way they have handled this.
This isn’t just about a new strain infecting more people. It’s about mental health and well-being too. Thousands of elderly have been forced to self isolate for months without friends or family to hug, talk to or love. Are these months of sheer misery worth it? To some, yes. To others not.
Whitty only seems interested in the spread of the virus, not of the incredibly damaging byproducts that go with it. As my 72 year old Aunty (who lives in Manchester) said - a year of life is a lot to lose at an old age. The elderly are suffering as much from isolation as they are from the disease itself.
There is no doubt a lot of people have also died because of COVID and not through it. My partner, who is an NHS ward sister in an elderly dementia ward sees a lot of the elderly with other life threatening illnesses leaving it too late to come into hospital because they are afraid of catching COVID. They are then leaving it too late and becoming seriously ill anyway.
My own view is that the Government are so in thrall of Whitty and Sage (who can’t even agree amongst themselves) they have lost sight of the bigger picture. They need to put across a consistent message of common sense with people understanding the risks. Be sensible, wear a mask, keep your distance and go to the hospital if your are ill. People are going to die of COVID, flu and all sorts of other things at this of year, that is an inconvenient truth which simply cannot be micromanaged.

It’s not political is it? Starmer has consistently sided with SAGE and the scientific advice given to the Government. When Boris went against the advice of SAGE and did not introduce a September circuit breaker, Labour sided with SAGE instead of the Government. Labour & SAGE were right and a new late lockdown swiftly followed the mistake not to take a circuit breaker.

Exactly, the deaths have dipped but that is because the NW and Midlands have reduced totals a little. It is surprising how few people have any idea about the concept of lag. In all likelihood, the SE and London mortality rates will climb a fair bit more.

This is exactly it. You cannot take the UK as a whole. You need to manage flash areas.
We had it easy before when Manchester and Liverpool where put in Tier 3, now we have a higher rate so people need to stop being childish about it

Im no virologist but presumably when you see a track up in deaths its too late, a rise in cases will likely result in a rise in deaths but not immediately (some weeks later). Cases as I understand it have risen sharply 32% in a week.

Hospitals are not full, they are less busy than same time last year, that is a fact, how I don’t know? Perhaps because FLU rates are so low but to be honest I’m so sick of all things COVID now I don’t even have the energy to debate or argue with people on here anymore but anyone who believes anything that comes out of this clueless bunch of buffoons mouths give your head a wobble.

You really really don't know that any other party wouldn't have done as bad. They may have done worse, a lot worse or maybe better, we will never know.
I would certainly hazard a guess that Corbyn would have done worse.
