When Potter took over we had 3 CBs Dunk,Duffy and Balagon, 2 right backs Bruno and Montoya and 2 left backs Bernardo and Bong. At the time defending wasnt our problem. 2years later our defence so often is all over the place.Webster dropped because so poor out wide and Burn comes in and looked even worse. Surely its time to go back to a back 4 Vetman,White,Dunk and Bernardo and sticking to it.
If we play with 3 at back against Fulham and Palace within 10mins Lookman and Zaha will go over to the right..

We played with a back 4 tonight. That went well didn’t it?

Agree we need another left wing back though

You have basically said it yourself in the opening paragraph, we no longer have the player to play a flat back 4 - we are now stuck with 3 centre backs and wing backs.

Yes, back 4 today. It clearly didn't have the desired effect.

I'd be going back 3 of Veltman, Dunk and White.

White the latest to go for that poisoned chalice of LCB

Lamptey, (please god, be fit). and March wing backs for the next couple of games.

Well, Veltman could clearly make a very good right back.

Burn had a decent season at left back last year, but is clearly still a centre back filling in there.

Bernardo is certainly not the answer.

I wonder if we will look to bring the young Polish lad over for the 2nd half of the season.

Midfield weak leaving defence exposed - Burn was weak leaving Ryan exposed. Ryan is weak. Apart from attack and defence and defending from midfield - it was OK.

At the end Leicester were WALKING yet they were still walking THROUGH our defence.

Back 4 yes but with a CB playing LB. That makes no sense. Midfield way too advanced and offering zero cover. I’m at a loss to know what’s going on with our defensive organization. It almost feels like we will do anything as long as it is unconventional.

Too many constant changes to personnel and formations. A settled defence and shape always performs better. Potter thinks he's smarter and cleverer than he is but actually he has no idea at all about organising our defemce. Badly exposed I'm afraid. Emperor's clothes, sadly. Clearly exposed now as out of his depth.
