I listened to this on this morning's dog walk - an interesting insight into the Albion just before I was old enough to pay too much attention.

I also had to check wikipedia to see if Pele is still alive* - the way he talks about him, I thought I'd missed his passing!

He was a really good player.

Remember singing “Danny what’s the score” when he came to the Goldstone with his first division Luton team in the cup....we beat them 4-1, he acknowledged the song and told us the score.

One of my first Albion heroes.

Still remember his goal at Palace shortly after he joined us.

He was great. Weirdly he’d been played as a winger before he came to us, which I struggle to see at all.

I was a huge fan.

Yeah. As soon as I saw it was Danny Wilson I thought of “Danny, Danny what’s the score?”.
I’ve still got the programme.

Chris Eubank shadow boxing the north before the Benn fight is another one....will never forget that
