Interesting to see no senior/fringe players in the team today. Could we see some of the youngsters given a run out against Saints?

Izquierdo, Molumby, Alzate, Sanders and Sanchez started for the U23s last week against Saints U23s, but aren't in the squad today - a dry run for the First team?

Wouldn't read that much into it. Fringe first team players normally play u23 only when the u23 game is after the first team's weekend game and they didn't get any minutes with the first team. This way if any injuries/ covid occurs this weekend they will have players fresh if required.

There was a debut at this level for 1st-year scholar left-back Zak Sturge today, and Irish midfielder Andrew Moran also made his debut when he came on as a substitute in the second-half - New Albion scholars 2020-21 - Player profiles

It tickles me that the Citizens' custodian is Cieran Slicker, so they really do have a City Slicker in goal.

I don't think Izquierdo has done longer than 45 minutes yet, but I wouldn't mind any of the other 4 in the team or on the bench.
