These are an important set of games, less than a year out to the next WC. Heard Morgan waffling on yesterday about how he didn't have a clue what his best team was, which is embarassing really 12 months out from an already delayed WC.

First time England have got their full strength white ball squad together since the World Cup last summer, a lot of potential battles for places (Bairstow, Malan, Root, Roy all up for grabs). Be interesting to see where certain players play, don't think England have ever considered Stokes as an opener but he did well there in the IPL, so now potentially there are 4/5 gunning for two places. Also be interesting to see whether Sam Curran (who would ordinarily not have featured in the reckoning for the team) gets a go after a pretty useful IPL himself.

YES! Animals in the outfield.

Cricket is go!

no gesture of an attacking field in the early overs, an unintimidated SA slapping it around with carefree abandon... du Plessis nose bag on at the Curran buffet, 5th over 6.4.6.2.2.4 50/1 off 5 overs

T Curren 4 overs, 1-55. Ouch! Archer's last over was brilliant, then Curran undid all his good work.
