That’s a good point. I forgot that 7 subs can be named even if only 3 used. Will watch the U23 game this afternoon in the hope that Izquierdo is ready for the bench on Saturday. Molumby also an addition to the bench.

I'd like to see him give Maupay a bit of time out and give Zeqiri a go. Welbeck made Maupay look a level below him on Saturday I thought, the backheel shot instead of passing and the fact Maupay didn't score when through one on one.

Losing Tariq for this is a bit of a problem as Potter will know the extent of the threat which Robertson poses.

My view is that we will retain 3 at the back and push Ben White into action as an auxillary RWB. The reason being he that he has the best instinct for sniffing out danger and getting himself back into position in the squad.

Less attacking, but we'll look to hit them on the break

Leicester went back 3 last night and Liverpool sent raking balls and made quick one-twos involving Robertson to get him in the space where a right back would be. Whatever happens we need our quickest centre back option to be patrolling that space.

Tough one, bordering on madness, to leave out Welbz and Lallana but this one, for me at least, is a game where I’d rather them be rested and brought in later if required.

I would have problems playing a back three with Veltman in midfield. Robertson will exploit this big time. He will have a better chance as a right back i a four.

Veltman for Lamptey and Trossard in for Gross and job done.

I mulled over Alzate for Lamptey but given the Mane Robertson threat down the left felt a more experienced defender was in order.

As much as I want to cram Alzate in the team

Although I normally advocate extreme caution, this time I think we have to attack their weakened back four, so I'd go with Welbeck and Maupay.
