[Albion] Who else reckons they are currently more tired than Lamptey?

Here’s what I said at half time in the match thread...

That was a excruciating to watch. A dull and boring 0-0 in the second half please! It half killed me off.

I don’t know why I expected Brighton to do it the easy way. What on earth was I thinking?

It was strange

I think I VAR'ed myself

When the pen was given, normally I'd be **** this and **** that

But knew he'd overturn his decision once he'd looked at it

With no crowd in the ground that is

Would have been difficult overwise in front of a baying Holt End

More worried that I’m about to go down with cramp! [emoji23]

Did you do your cool-down at the end?

I stayed relaxed.

The piped crowd noise, which I ignored, made it appear more stressful than it was eg Villa shots destined for row Z were soundtracked to a huge roar.

That whole game was a hellish experience.

I was totally resigned when the penalty was given. It was SO obviously going to happen, or something like that.

Then something unexpected happened.

Really? That stretches the credibility meter to breaking point.

I was actually thinking to myself as I watched today's game that I really don't "enjoy" watching the Albion, it is more like a masochistic endurance test, punctuated with an occasional explosion of ecstasy, multiple instances of shouting at the screen and, rarely, huge relief at the final whistle.

Stress levels were up to 7/10 when we decided to go all out defense for the last 20 minutes.

Then up to 8/10 when Lamptey was sent off.

10/10 for the penalty.

Then somewhat relaxed when VAR ruled it out, as it felt like it was going to be our day afterall.

Great entertainment, but yes, mentally knackered after that!

I'm on nights and woke up to see us hoofing it long for Villa to attack over and over, Lamptey getting sent off and the penalty incident.

I'm not tired but next time I'm staying in bed until the match is over.

This.

Some people think that VAR is a device invented simply to rob The Albion of goals, players, points and our place in the EPL.

Don’t know if it’s due to this CV19 empty stadia era, or from being punch drunk from 4 seasons of losing a lot? But I’ve completely calmed down.

I used to scare our cats and family members, especially the roar at a goal. Now I’m more analytical.

The worst emotion today was being absolutely gutted when Villa ‘won’ the pen.
