I think many of us have become a little too reliant on Netflix as our primary source of tv film entertainment at the expense and neglect of other channels.

This thread is for non-Netflix film recommendations on TV where the window to catch up with them is usually much smaller than that provided by Netflix.

For those who like their "horror" (to use the term loosely) to have a bit of a twisted Lynchian feel to it you might be interested in Film 4's (available on All4 for another 26 days):

"The Killing of a Sacred Deer"

It's an English language film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos who previously directed "Dogtooth" and "The Lobster", so if you're familiar with those films you'll have an idea of what to expect.

As an aside while watching it it occurred to me how Colin Farrel bears an uncanny resemblance to Corrie's car mechanic Kevin Webster, well at least how I remember KW to look when I last saw him over 30 years ago.
