I’m pretty sure he was the goalie for the first game I saw around 1962. Gill had finished and I think McGonigal was around, but pre Powney (or he was still with the youngsters). All a bit of a blur now!

I used to work with his son and also new his other son. I met him a couple of times and to say that he was a ‘lovely bloke’ would be an understatement of biblical proportions.

From memory his grandson played in the same youth team as Tom McGill.
