Thanks for the necessarily frequent updates!

With there having been quite a few good results for the U-18s and U-23s this season it might be good for the club website to have a bit more about the two groups - AZGull gives much more information!

The coverage of the U-18s has certainly been inconsistent this season; historically the club produced match reports (including line-ups) for virtually every U-18 match, but this season that has become hit and miss. They did publish reports of the good Arsenal win and the West Ham defeat for anyone who missed them.

I'm not sure what has happened to the Leicester U-18s this season - they have now lost all 6 league matches, and today's wasn't even their heaviest defeat, going down 8-2 to Southampton a fortnight ago. Still, you can only beat what's in front of you.

It has to be said that the U-18's victory over Southampton four weeks ago was actually their first in the league for almost a year (since November 9 2019 when they beat Aston Villa 2-1). Three draws and eight defeats followed. Former joint coach Mikey Harris left the club at the end of October 2019 to join the FA and while it's impossible to know from the outside, it does make you wonder whether his departure impacted the group for a while. Anyway, they seem to be back on track now.

Good to see forward (signed from Oldham) Zak Emmerson make his debut as a sub today. Presumably he has been out injured since joining in the summer. That just leaves Irish lad Leigh Kavanagh as the only 1st-year scholar who has not yet featured this season.
