I’ve just switched from Samsung phone back to iPhone but still have a galaxy watch.
I researched before swapping phones to make sure everything was compatible, which google said it was although certain features like email wouldn’t work.
Anyway, they connect to each other, can swap watch faces etc...but I’m getting no notifications on the watch from WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook. In fact, i get no notifications at all.
The wearable app is totally different from apple store than it is from the galaxy play store and under settings, where you used to be able to set notifications for individual apps on Samsung, you just get a general notifications on or off. It’s on but I still get nothing.
Is there anyone with any experience can help please?

I only use whatsapp not twitter or facebook on my watch so can only comment on that.

The Apple watch does not appear to support whatsapp so I had to buy an app, which actually works OK but only if connected to the Iphone, not from cellular on the watch as a stand alone. I am guessing that this may also apply to the Samsung watch if linked to an Iphone?

App is Watchchat 2 and costs about £2.50. The developer is very quick at responding to questions or problems too. Again no idea if it will work with a Samsung

So you now just have a watch that just tells the time and doesn’t keep pinging with notifications.
Sounds good to me.

yeah, a £400 watch......that just tells the time

I thought Apple/iphone and Samsung/Galaxy don't communicate with each other, full stop

I don't own either device (I can't see any reason why I would want to, TBH) - but others seem to have the answers you need. Heads-up - the answers don't seem likely to be the ones you are wanting to hear, I'm afraid

Thanks for the links.bit seems that I should be getting notifications, even if I can’t do anything with them
