Sent the Worthing Food Bank a cheque after both my local MP's decided against feeding at risk children in the half term and in their 'thank you' email they told me that unemployment has doubled in Worthing since the beginning of lockdown.
And that's before the furlough comes to an end, I'm old enough to remember the mass unemployment of the 1970's and 80's but I think its going its even going to surpass that.
I'd imagine its a similar story in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and right across the area?
Worrying times for many, especially for those who've just got on to the property ladder and those who were hoping to?
Never thought I'd say it but I'm glad I'm 56 and not 26.
