One of our first TV sporting icons, the face of Grandstand, was only watching a documentary on YouTube today about the 1968 Mexico Olympics and Frank was fronting Olympic Grandstand.
In later years his extra curricular activities indicated that he was bit of a character.

I remember him as much for Nationwide and sitting alongside Selina Scott on the Breakfast Time sofa, as I do for Grandstand.

I do remember him on BBC breakfast as a child, getting ready for school. When I learnt of his sordid extras, I was devastated.
