I have said it. I don’t condone people smuggling and I think people should apply for asylum where it’s safest for them.
However, I also understand why people would try to get to the U.K. and they have the right to do so, just as the U.K. has a duty of care and an obligation to them when they arrive.
There’s really not much more to add. I know you’re desperate for an argument, as always but you won’t get it from me.
Adieu.

yes, we have an international obligation and asylum policy, nothing illegal is happening, if they were they would be arrested and charged

Nice people work at Border Force.

A Spanish woman who has a National Insurance number, because she worked here two years ago, detained, locked up, mobile phone confiscated, and not even allowed to return to Valencia. In other words, imprisoned.

A man from the Canary Islands, was also detained, despite having a job interview the very next day.

And ? I'll bet you were one of the first to smugly comment on Brexit when there were problems for truck drivers with ham sandwiches etc Are you saying that Border Force acted outside of their jurisdiction?

Italian woman coming to work for her cousin, an NHS doctor, arrested at Heathrow, phone confiscated, taken to prison and kept for four days.

I would have thought the numbers of people risking life and limb to make it to these shores would serve as vindication that Britain is indeed 'Great'.

Not to mention the 10k they paid to get here, and the risk of getting their 100 quid trainers wet...

It appears mob rule has won the battle, not the war.
Reminds me of when the wokey cokey brigade stopped a serial rapist being flown back to Somalia, I believe that particular pillar of the community went on to reoffend. Nice.
