Out of the last three he’s scored two and had one saved.

Against Leicester he tried to place it and the Dane in goal saved it

Against Newcastle straight down the middle and scored

Against Man Utd a little dink into the roof of the net and scored

Where’s the next one go?

It's another one of the reasons I was pissed off at Connolly's non-penalty - I was really intrigued to see how Maupay was going to try and beat De Gea for a second time in the same game from the spot.

I'm not confident with Maupays penalty taking, but he clearly was on Saturday.

Vardys penalties yesterdsay were a bit bloody good . . . . like that please Neal

Until Saturday I always thought Maupay was a poor penalty taker. I'm not 100% convinced yet, and I'd say he would miss 1 in 4 on average?

Get worried every time he takes penalty. Prefer the Utd guys style. Only certainty is hard to top corner and thats what he does every time

Was always told with penalties to make the next one different to the last one and hit them hard and on target.

It's such a shame that penalty will get lost in time.

I can imagine 30k of us watching it on the big screens going double mentals.

That would have been quite something.

Agree with some of the posters on here. I thought Maupay's penalty taking in general are poor. He he doesn't disguise them enough or give the keeper the eyes. Yesterdays pen was probably one of the best i've seen by an Albion player. I have watched it many times.

Is this classed as a Panenka by Hemed 20 secs in ?

Schmeical is one of the best keepers at saving penalties, so I wouldn't read too much in Maupay not scoring at the KingPower,
I think Maupay can mix it up but if Gross is on the pitch I would prefer him to take it.

Must admit I'm never confident with Maupay taking penalties, he always puts them too close to the keeper for my liking. would much rather he puts them in the corner or smashes them.

I guess it's weighing up one risk vs another . . . . Gross has the accuracy/technique but maybe not the confidence of an out and out striker. . . . . then the mental psychology to not be phased, or to outphase the keeper.

Not being on the pitch is a bit of a hindrance for Gross too...

Hit it as hard as you possibly can , low obviously, if then if the keeper saves it ,it's quite likely the ball will come into play again , sidefoot placement penalties are just begging to be saved .
