[Albion] Highest-ever league position

IF (mighty 'if') we beat Man Utd on Saturday, for a few hours we will have equalled (or possibly even surpassed) our highest position in the league during the course of a season. A one-goal winning margin would put us 6th, previously achieved in 1981.

Yes, I know it's only three games in, so doesn't really count, but...!

We were fourth after the win at Watford on the opening day last year, and still after the following draw.

I believe we were top when we scored early in the match - until VAR ruled it out a few minutes later

We were first for a couple of seconds when Leandro Trossard’s goal put us in front of west ham (even thought this goal was disallowed)

We were, I managed to capture the live table in the split second it was updated to show us top before the goal was ruled out by VAR.
