Just amazing. I love watching the U23 team and now more than ever.

Hopefully we may see some of Sanders, Gwargis, Gyokeres, Cochrane, Yapi, Dendonker, Roberts, Steele or Sanchez get some more Brighton caps tonight.

If Ashworth/Potter are strenuously encouraged to fast track the academy thru the ranks by their paymasters then you can be sure that's what they'll do. Whether those fast tracked youngsters are quite up to being thrown into the rigours of the EPL is quite another matter entirely

I would be amazed if the paymasters have too much say. At every step all I have heard is, its up to Graham if he wants or doesn't want to use a player. I think he is very Wenger in his attitude and wants to use young players and improve them with coaching and experience.

Amazingly, Albion featured a DIFFERENT four former scholars in tonight's first team match - Haydon Roberts and Max Sanders started, with Teddy Jenks and Alex Cochrane coming on as subs.

So Premier League Albion have played eight - EIGHT!!! - former scholars in just two first-team matches in the space of three days.

Just let that sink in......

Even despite the youngsters we've brought in from around the world, its nice to see the local lads proving themselves.

Alzate and Gyokeres of course came through the system but joined at U23 level. Remarkable.
