Obviously it will be impacted by various things :
Teams getting promotion will usually need to strengthen.
How many years in the PL. For example Wolves is 2 seasons.
Cost of wages/signing on fees is excluded.
Guesstimates for 'undisclosed' I assume.

So, on the face of it we've spent reasonably big (more than I expected), but I also feel we've kept spending sensible in terms of wages (only going by what's rumoured anyway).

Be interesting to see how the figures would look now after this transfer window with some of the spending by the likes of Everton/Chelsea.

Just goes to show how well run Southampton and Burnley are. Not that we're not, but we obviously needed to spend to try to become competitive. At least we don't pay players £100k+ pw who want to leave or can't hit a barndoor.
