Seems to have gone unnoticed that the U23 (U21s) start their EFL Trophy campaign tomorrow against Leyton (we'll never play you again) Orient. Those that desperate to watch the game can give Orient £10 if their hard earned.

According to the Albion app, for the U23 listings, Christian Walton, Bernado, Solly March, Ali J, Steven Alzate and Aaron Connolly all come under that heading.
Perhaps needs updating

Yeah, because our U23's is only made up of players between the ages of 21-23...

Players aged 21 and 22 follow the same selection rules as full senior squad players in this competition.

Teams may only include two players on the team sheet, aged over 21, who have made forty or more senior appearances, as at 30 June 2020.

Looks like 6 players U21 and only 2 players over 21 with more than 40 senior appearances so you can have 5 players over 21.

7.8 Each Invited Club must ensure that in each Match:

7.8.1 at least six of the starting eleven players named on the Team Sheet are players who were aged under 21 as at the 30th June in the year in which the Season concerned commenced; and

7.8.2 no more than two players who:

(i) are aged 21 or over; and

(ii) have made 40 or more appearances in a First Team Fixture (either in the starting elven or as a playing substitute) in each case as at the 30th June in the year in which the Season concerned, shall be named on the Team Sheet.

BTW - the official EFL website says Elven - I haven't changed it!
