Yes the money is crazy, but don't think this transfer is the norm and represents the bar we have to reach, this is another transfer totally enabled and orchestrated by Jorge Mendes, Wolves superagent. The relationship between him and the club is a true anomaly (and very dodgy)

I prefer the Brighton plan of turning into Ajax/Porto/etc instead of paying them levels of money you cant get without selling your soul

How rich are Wolves? This type of signing seems very very risky for a club like Wolves. You can never be sure how good someone will turn out when they've only just turned 18 years old, and if he was some out of this world wonderkid, then how comes it was Wolves who got him?

Definitely an exciting signing for the Wolves fans but I hope we don't start splashing that sort of cash on kids.

Owners are very rich, well up there in the league. 4th or 5th richest IIRC.

His estimated net worth of £1.2bn puts him third last on the list, only ahead of the owners of Leeds ($450M) and Burnley ($80M).

Puts the 'might of Leeds' well and truly in to perspective.
Absolute paupers at this level.

When we last played at the Withdean, he was 9.

And when we first played at the Withdean, he wasn’t even born yet.
