Worthing
I saw someone asked about player ratings.

Realise it’s ‘only’ a friendly, and numerous substitutions, but just for fun......

6 - average

Ryan - 6
Veltman - 6 - promising start
White - 6 - looked okay playing at a higher level, bit asleep on goal with others
Dunk - 6
Webster - 7
March - 6
Lallana - 6
Alzate - 7
Bissouma - 8 - best player on pitch
Trossard - 6
Maupay - 6

Walton 6
Lamptey 7
Duffy 6
Burn 6
Bernardo 6
Stephens 6
Gross 6
MacAllister 6 - first time seen him live, really good movement off the ball
Molumby - 7 - current first team midfielders beware, he is stronger than when I last saw him.
AJ - 6 - nearly gave a 5 - anonymous.
Connolly - 6

Sanchez - 6 - good save
Sanders - 6

Appreciate haven’t deviated off average much, but felt we were tidy with little threat. Thoroughly enjoyed the game though and being back.

Good thread. Agree there's not much to deviate from average on and I enjoyed being back much more than I thought I would and will not be missing any ballots unless we're away or otherwise engaged. As for the players I think you're mostly spot on but I'll add mine anyway, with a bit of commentary where necessary.

Ryan - 6
Veltman - 6 - agree this was a promising start. Looks an upgrade on Montoya but may be competing for RB spot with Lamptey who, as you will see later, got a better rating.
White - 6 - their goal looked offside and I'm yet to see a replay that tells me I was either right or wrong. I was in line with it too. However, if it wasn't the White was the one asleep and we all seemed to stop even though there was no flag (no VAR in friendlies chaps)
Dunk - 6
Webster - 7 so far the OP will note I'm agreeing with all his marks. He's correctly picked Webster as the best of our three CBs. Didn't put a foot wrong and pushed up nicely
March - 6
Lallana - 6
Alzate - 8 I'm going one more than the OP. A great phrase from somone on another thread last night - our midfield should be as simple as "AB" this season.
Bissouma - 8 - superb
Trossard - 6
Maupay - 6

Walton 6 - I've stuck with the OPs average mark but I'm not sure a mark at all was earned. Feel absolutely gutted for him picking up a serious looking injury
Lamptey 8 - on fire
Duffy 6
Burn 6
Bernardo 6
Stephens n/a - on then off again
Gross 7 - looks physically fit and closed down everything. Good penalty though not impressed with the argy bargy over who was taking
MacAllister 7 - looked dangerous
Molumby - 7 - first time I've seen him play. Impressed
AJ - 5 - ok I'll give it
Connolly - 6

Sanchez and Sanders n/a (or 6) - not enough time for either

Overall then it looks like I rated the second half team better than the first half, which is interesting because I think Potter opened the kimono and showed us how he intends to start with that initial line up. We need an answer to how we have two right backs who are both playing the socks off some of the "creative" players, and however smug we are about landing "Leeds' Ben White" the player needs a fair bit more time getting in sync with Dunk and Webster.
